BLOOD & CUSTARD 1948-1956 or MAROON 1956-1968
For both the early Crimson or ‘Blood & Custard’ (1948-56) and the later Maroon (1956-end of steam liveries) there are differing schoools of thoughts on the lining and lettering colours employed. Initially, for the Blood and Custard Livery, the lining colours were metallic gold and black with matching graphics and then changed to off white (straw) and black (and some cases of yellow and black, although this is desputed). For the Maroon Livery we believe that the lining colours employed were old gold and black again with matching graphics but some say off white (straw) and black was used.
In order to cater for all shades of thought we offer the following for you to use.
OFF WHITE - FRH4210 and FRH4211 for Lining/corners - FRH4012 and FRH4042 for brandings
YELLOW - FRH4212 and FRH4213 for Lining/corners - FRH4027, FRH4028 and FRH4029 for brandings
METALLIC GOLD - FRH4214 and FRH4215 for Lining/corners - FRH4013 for brandings
