PROVINCIAL/REGIONAL LIVERIES
Since the demise of the corporate blue and blue/grey colour schemes of the late 1960s and the 1970s, there have been many livery colourways applied to the 'country' trainsets of BR. Many have been purely experimental and while some may have been seen on revenue-earning service trains, we have to exclude them from this paint guide because the paint shades used are not currently available. What we provide below, therefore, is a breakdown of the shades used in the authorised service train history of BR's provincial lines over the last fifteen or so years.
