GER GREAT EASTERN RAILWAY - Available in 2 sizes 7 inch and 10.5 inch widths (scaled 6.3mm and 8.5mm widths). The carriage crest (10.5 inch size) started to be used on T19 2-4-0 and D27 2-2-2 Class Loco splashers in the early 1890s. By the mid 1890s these were fitted on all Westinghouse-fitted tender engines including the T26 2-4-0 Class. With the introduction (a few years later) of the N31 Class 0-6-0 a smaller crest had to be produced to fit their even smaller splashers and this smaller pattern was then used on the 2-4-0s with more satisfactory results.
